Today on The Edge podcast we welcome Lindsay Jones, a future lawyer of America, who is currently studying at the University of Minnesota Law School! When Lindsay isn’t protecting the creative interests of entrepreneurial masterminds, she works on her personal blog, Eclectic, where she analyses pop culture through a legal lens. We would like to thank her for joining us today and extend that sentiment to her current employers over at EntrePartner for loaning her out to us this morning! Lindsay was brought into the fold today to discuss a recent Supreme Court Ruling, commonly referred to as “The Slants” decision. In the podcast, we give an overview of the case, talk about how this ruling will impact the advertising industry, share a few of our own opinions on the matter, and cite some relevant examples for your consideration! 26/06/2017 Duration: 23min

June is Pride Month, so this week at The EDGE Podcast we decided to focus on the LGBT consumer and companies that have engaged with them, through advertising, in the past and present. To start out we covered three companies that were trailblazers in LGBT-inclusive advertising, accidentally, two out three just happened to be from our Scandinavian brothers. We also delved into a local company that has more recently reached LGBT consumers in an authentic manner. The LGBT consumer group is broad and ever expanding. Each consumer has their own, individual quirks, but this week we tried to boil them down into some semblance of trends and data points for you to digest. Hopefully, all of you can take away some new insights into the wonderful world of LGBT consumers and the brands that target them! --------------------------------------- The EDGE Podcast is a weekly production that looks to focus on new and emerging trends in the marketing and advertising category. The event not only highlights the hardware and games players can expect later this year, but also provides a sense of the direction the developers and publishers behind them are headed. It acts as a great case study for advertisers to look at to see how social media, audience engagement, new technology and overall tren
